Developed by Maximus, the 2011 Dutch Open and Olympic champion in computer draughts, it is accessible on iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. In 2012, Maximus notably competed against former world champion Alexander Schwarzman in a match that ended with a narrow loss—five draws and one defeat—and more recently secured third place in the unofficial 2019 world championship computer draughts. While originally running on a desktop computer with superior processing power, it remains a formidable opponent on portable devices.

The software caters to a broad audience, offering multiple difficulty levels suitable for novices and experienced players alike. It features an accessible starting mode where Maximus makes random moves for familiarization, progressing through ten training levels—from beginner to expert—that gradually increase in challenge. The program is also useful as an analyzing tool for game review and learning, as well as serving as a portable draughts set or notation reference, and even assisting in competitive environments when additional players are needed.
